Teplice claims to be the oldest spa town in Bohemia and behaves like one: a château on the main square, a colonnade park, a culture house and a steady flow of medical and industrial visitors. It sits half an hour from the German border and an hour from Dresden, which is why so many cross-border supplier meetings quietly end up here.
Why hold an event in Teplice
- Half an hour from Saxony. German guests arrive without a serious journey, and Prague is ninety minutes away.
- Château and park in the town centre. The representative rooms are on the square, not thirty minutes outside it.
- Industrial catchment. Glass, chemicals and automotive suppliers across the Ústí region make this a working meeting town.
- Spa capacity for two-day formats. Accommodation and treatment programmes exist for the second day if you want them.
The venues
Zámek Teplice
The château on the main square, now largely the regional museum, with representative halls used for receptions and ceremonies. Protected interiors with rules on lighting.
Dům kultury Teplice
The town’s culture house: a large hall for conferences, concerts and company events, with the flat, high-contrast lighting typical of the type.
Krušnohorské divadlo
The town theatre for award evenings and formal programmes. Steep sightlines, stage lighting, and a strict expectation of silence in the auditorium.
Spa hotels and the colonnade park
Hotel conference rooms with treatment programmes attached, and a park that carries the outdoor half of a summer event.
Theatre evenings need a rehearsal walk-through. In a working theatre the photographer’s positions are fixed by sightlines and by the stage manager, and they are agreed before the audience arrives, not negotiated during the programme.
Photographing events here
Museum halls, a culture-house auditorium and a theatre — three rooms where flash is either forbidden or ruinous.
- Protected château interiors normally restrict tripods and additional lighting; permission is arranged in advance.
- The theatre and culture hall are shot available-light from agreed positions, with a silent shutter where the programme demands it.
- The park and colonnade carry the group photographs; they are timed to the last hour of daylight.
