Company events are photographed twice: once for the people who were there, and once for everyone the company wants to reach afterwards — candidates, clients, the board. A corporate event photographer in Berlin who understands that difference gives you a gallery you actually use, instead of four hundred pictures of people holding drinks.

The events this covers
Summer & Christmas parties
Weihnachtsfeier and Sommerfest coverage from arrival drinks to the dance floor, with a set of clean group frames captured early while everyone still looks fresh.
Company anniversaries
Jubiläum evenings with speeches, toasts and long-serving colleagues — the images that end up on the wall and in the anniversary publication.
Openings & new offices
Ribbon moments, first tours, the new space full of people rather than empty. Architecture and atmosphere in the same session.
Team days & offsites
Workshops, hackathons and away days shot as documentary, so the pictures look like your company and not like a stock library.
Client & partner evenings
Kundenevents and networking receptions where the goal is recognisable faces, warm light and no one caught mid-sentence.
Kick-offs & all-hands
Stage, audience and breakout coverage for internal meetings that also need to feed the careers page afterwards.
Photographs that do a job afterwards
Before the event, one question decides how the evening is shot: what are these pictures for? The answers usually turn out to be some combination of the following, and each needs a different kind of frame.
- Recruiting and the careers page — wide, bright, genuinely mixed groups, people talking to each other rather than at the camera.
- Internal communications — recognisable individuals, colleagues who rarely get photographed, the moments people will point at.
- Client-facing marketing — branding in shot, tidy backgrounds, glasses that are not half-empty, tables that are not covered in coats.
- Management and the board — a clean, usable frame of every executive, taken early rather than at midnight.
- Next year’s invitation — the establishing shot of the venue full and lit, which almost never happens by accident and has to be planned into the timing.
The one thing worth deciding in advance: whether you want group photographs. They take fifteen minutes, they need to happen before the second round of drinks, and they are the single most requested image after the event. If they are not on the schedule, they usually do not happen.
How a Berlin company evening actually runs
A typical four-to-six hour evening breaks down roughly like this, and coverage is planned against it rather than against the clock.
| Before doors | Empty room, table settings, branding, catering, the space as it was designed — twenty minutes that can never be recovered later |
|---|---|
| Arrival | Welcome drinks, greetings, first conversations; the best light of the evening and the best-looking guests |
| Speeches & awards | Speakers, the audience reacting, handovers and toasts, shot from an agreed position that does not block the room |
| Dinner & tables | Table groups, service, details; discreet coverage that keeps out of the servers’ way |
| Party | Dance floor, band or DJ, the loose late frames people share the next morning |
Discretion is part of the service
At a company party, the photographer is a colleague for the evening, not a paparazzo. That means no flash in faces during dinner, no photographs of anyone visibly worse for wear, and no images that would embarrass a person in front of their employer. The gallery is culled before delivery with that in mind — and if HR wants an additional review pass before publication, that is built into the workflow.

Berlin venues and what they demand
Company evenings in Berlin land everywhere from a converted power station to a hotel ballroom, and the technical answer is different in each.
- Industrial spaces — Kraftwerk, STATION Berlin, Umspannwerk, Alte Münze: enormous, dark, high-contrast. Bounced light and fast lenses; a bare flash flattens the whole point of the room.
- Rooftops and terraces — beautiful for an hour around sunset and difficult afterwards. Timing the group shot to the light is worth more than any equipment.
- Historic halls and ballrooms — chandelier light that photographs warm and low; shot available-light to keep the atmosphere intact.
- Spree boats and Spreespeicher lofts — confined, moving and mixed-light. Coverage is planned around fixed positions, not around walking the room.
- Your own office — the hardest one, honestly: strip lighting, low ceilings and cable trays. Worth twenty minutes of scouting before guests arrive.
Delivery
A preview set of ten to twenty frames goes out the morning after, which is when people actually want to see something. The full edited gallery follows within three to five working days in a private online gallery, organised so a colleague can find their own department without help. Files come in full resolution for print plus web-sized versions, with square and 16:9 crops on request for social.
Usage covers your own marketing, recruiting, internal channels and press. There are no per-image licence fees added later.
Booking and price
Corporate evenings are quoted as a fixed all-in price for an agreed number of hours, with overtime rates stated up front so nothing is a surprise at 1 a.m. December dates in Berlin are the tightest of the year — Christmas-party enquiries are worth sending in September. Everything else is usually arrangeable within a couple of weeks.
