Every event photographer in Berlin will give you a number. Very few will tell you what is inside it, which is why two quotes for the same evening can differ by a factor of three. This page explains what actually drives the figure, so you can compare offers properly — including ours.
Every event is quoted as one fixed, all-in price
Not an hourly rate with extras bolted on afterwards. The quote you receive covers the shoot, the editing, the delivery and the usage rights, and it does not change unless you change the brief. Overtime, if you think the evening might run long, is stated as a rate in advance rather than discovered on the invoice.

All figures are net starting prices for a fixed, all-in quote and include the shoot, the edit, a private online gallery and usage for your own marketing, press, recruiting and internal channels. Any applicable VAT is shown on the invoice. Travel outside the city is billed at cost, never marked up.
The five things that move the number
1. Coverage hours
The single biggest factor. A two-hour reception, a six-hour conference day and a three-day fair are different jobs, and the editing time scales with them.
2. Delivery speed
A gallery in five working days is standard. A captioned press set on the night means editing on site during the event, and that is real additional work.
3. One photographer or two
Parallel conference tracks, a red carpet running at the same time as a VIP reception, or a fair stand plus an evening party genuinely need two people. If yours does not, you will be told so.
4. Usage rights
Your own marketing, press and internal use is included as standard. Sponsor licensing, resale to media partners, or long-term paid advertising use is priced separately because it is worth more.
5. Travel and extras
Berlin and Brandenburg are included. Anything further is billed at cost. Add-ons such as a headshot corner, retouched hero frames or printed images on the night are quoted line by line.
What does not change it
The number of images. Coverage is not rationed by frame count, and there are no per-image release fees after delivery.
What is always included

- Professional editing — colour, exposure and a proper cull, not an unfiltered card dump.
- A private online gallery with high-resolution downloads, organised so your team can navigate it.

- Backup equipment and dual-card recording, so a card failure is not your problem.
- Files archived for twelve months.
Comparing quotes: ask every photographer three questions — how many hours are covered, what usage rights come with the files, and when the gallery arrives. Most price differences between Berlin event photographers disappear once those three are matched.

Each of these is quoted against the rate card above. The same “conference day” can mean one hall or four parallel tracks, so the final figure is confirmed per event — but the format never changes: one number, all in, valid until the date is taken.

The same rate card applies across the region; only travel differs, and it is billed at cost rather than marked up.

The fastest quotes come from enquiries that answer five things. Two lines each is plenty:
- Date and times — including setup, if you want the empty room photographed.
- Venue — the name is enough; the lighting problems are already known.
- Type of event — conference, party, gala, launch, fair.
- What the pictures are for — press, recruiting, sponsors, internal, social.
- Deadline — whether anything is needed on the night or the next morning.
