Berlin, location by location

Every location has an hour when it works and an hour when it doesn’t. These guides cover the light, the crowds and the permit rules for the spots we use most.

Questions

Before you book

How much does a shoot in Berlin cost?
Every shoot is quoted per project, because the price is driven by coverage hours, the number of edited images and whether travel or a second photographer is involved — not by a single hourly figure. You get a fixed, all-in price within 24 hours of your enquiry. Our Berlin photoshoot price guide explains what sits behind the numbers.
How far ahead should I book?
Weddings between May and September are usually booked six to twelve months out. Portrait, maternity and business sessions can often be arranged within a week or two, and proposals sometimes within days. If your date is tight, say so in the first message.
When will I get the photos?
A preview reaches you within a few days. Full galleries are normally delivered within one to two weeks; newborn and wedding edits take longer. Same-day previews for events can be arranged in advance.
Do you shoot outside Berlin?
Yes. Brandenburg and the surrounding region are treated as normal bookings, and destination work further afield is quoted with travel billed at cost, never marked up.
Do we need a permit to shoot at a landmark?
Handheld private sessions in public space are generally fine. Tripods, lighting and commercial or paid shoots at sites such as Museum Island or Charlottenburg Palace need permission arranged in advance — we sort that out before the date.
What if it rains?
Berlin weather is part of the plan, not a problem. Overcast light is often better than bright sun, and every outdoor session has an indoor or covered fallback agreed beforehand.
