Nuremberg is the largest event city between Munich and Leipzig and the closest one to the Czech border with full international capacity. A major exhibition centre, a purpose-built convention centre, a concert hall and a set of historic and industrial venues in a city that is two hours from Prague by road and an hour from the border itself.
Why hold an event in Nuremberg
- International congress and fair capacity. Multi-hall trade fairs and thousand-delegate congresses run here as routine.
- The closest full-scale event city to Bohemia. For a Czech-German programme that has outgrown the border towns, this is the next step up.
- Industrial and technology catchment. Automation, electronics and logistics employers make it a natural fit for technical audiences.
- Cheaper than Munich. Comparable capacity, noticeably lower venue and hotel costs.
The venues
NürnbergMesse and the NCC
The exhibition halls and the NürnbergConvention Center: the largest formats in northern Bavaria. Vast volumes, heavy stage wash, LED walls that dominate exposure.
Meistersingerhalle
The city’s concert and congress hall for formal programmes and award evenings. Fixed sightlines and stage lighting.
Historic halls and the Kaiserburg
Old town civic buildings and the imperial castle for formal receptions. Protected interiors with rules on lighting and rigging.
Z-Bau and industrial venues
Former industrial and cultural buildings for launches, parties and brand events. Raw, dark, and chosen for it.
Accreditation at the fair site is mandatory. NürnbergMesse requires the photographer to be registered in advance, either on your exhibitor allocation or as press. Send the hall and stand number with the enquiry and it is handled before the first day.
Photographing events here
A congress city with everything from a glass foyer to a windowless hall, and no single approach that covers them.
- Exhibition halls need per-scene white balance and bounced fill under stand canopies.
- Congress auditorium coverage is exposed for the screen first; faces are lifted in the edit.
- Historic interiors are shot available-light, with permission for anything beyond that arranged in advance.
