Bautzen sits on a rock above the Spree with towers, a castle and street signs in two languages — German and Sorbian. It is forty minutes from Dresden, an hour from the Polish and Czech borders, and it has the one thing most towns this size lack: real cultural venues that were built to hold an audience.
Why hold an event in Bautzen

Historic hotels and cellar restaurants for dinners of twenty to eighty. Warm, low, and beautiful once the ISO is right.
The old town is a hill. Every venue here involves stairs, cobbles and a walk from the nearest parking. If any of your guests have mobility limits, ask the venue about access before you fix the programme — it is solvable, but not by improvisation.
Photographing events here
A theatre, a castle and a set of cellars — three rooms where flash is either forbidden or destroys the point of the space.
- Theatre coverage is from agreed positions, silent, and worked out with the stage manager before doors.
- Castle courtyards depend entirely on daylight and on whatever lighting the event brings in.
- Cellar dinners are shot with a small bounced source; nothing is ever flashed across a table.
