Munich runs a different kind of event calendar to Berlin: trade fairs at Messe München that fill four halls, association congresses at the ICM, corporate evenings in beer halls and Motorworld, and a September in which the whole city books out. Munich event photography prices
Every event is quoted as one fixed, all-in price rather than an hourly rate with extras added afterwards. The figures below are the starting points a quote is built from.

All figures are net starting prices for a fixed, all-in quote and include the shoot, the edit, a private online gallery and usage for your own marketing, press, recruiting and internal channels. Any applicable VAT is shown on the invoice. Travel outside the city is billed at cost, never marked up.
Munich-specific note: during the two Oktoberfest weeks and the largest Messe München fairs, hotel and crew availability across the city collapses. If your event falls in those windows, the date is worth confirming three to six months ahead — the rate does not change, but availability does.

Coverage hours
A two-hour press event, a six-hour congress day and a three-day fair are different jobs, and the editing scales with them.
Delivery speed
A gallery in five working days is standard. A captioned press set on the night means editing on site, and that is real additional work.
One photographer or two
Parallel congress tracks, or a fair stand plus an evening event, genuinely need two people. If yours does not, you will be told so.
Usage rights
Your own marketing, press and internal use is included. Sponsor licensing or long-term paid advertising is priced separately.
Travel
Munich is quoted with travel from Berlin or Prague billed at cost — rail or road plus one hotel night for an early start. Never marked up.
What does not move it
The number of images. Coverage is not rationed by frame count, and there are no per-image release fees after delivery.

Munich venues and what each one demands
Venue knowledge is not name-dropping — it is knowing where to stand and what the light will do before the first guest arrives. Munich’s event spaces fall into five groups, and each sets a different technical problem.
- ICM — Internationales Congress Center München and the Messe halls — enormous volumes, heavy stage wash and LED walls that blow out the moment you expose for faces. Shot for the screen first, faces lifted in the edit.
- MOC Veranstaltungscenter and Zenith — industrial halls with almost no ambient light. Fast glass and bounced fill; a bare flash flattens exactly what the room was booked for.
- Alte Kongresshalle and Postpalast — period halls with warm, uneven light and tight sightlines. Available-light work, with fixed positions agreed during the walk-through.
- Beer halls — Löwenbräukeller, Hofbräuhaus Festsaal, Augustiner-Keller — dark wood, low warm light and long tables. The hardest rooms in the city to photograph well, and the ones most often booked for company evenings.
- Motorworld, Praterinsel, Eisbach Studios — character spaces chosen for their look, rarely lit for a camera. The product or installation is photographed before the room fills.
- BMW Welt and the Münchner Residenz — prestige settings that come with house rules on tripods and additional lighting. Cleared in advance, not argued about on the day.
